La creación de una nueva página es sólo una extensión de la creación de un enlace interno. En primer lugar se crea un enlace interno a una página que aún no existe, entonces tú editas la nueva página para agregar el contenido deseado.

Creación de páginas nuevas

Para crear una página, primero piensa desde donde quieres que tu página sea enlazada. Digamos que quieres crear una página para el nuevo curso de Química. Idealmente, debería haber un enlace a este curso desde una página donde se listen todos los cursos de química. La página de los cursos de Química debe estar vinculada a la página de los cursos de ciencias, y así sucesivamente. De esta manera las páginas nuevas siempre podrán ser encontradas.

Pero usted dice, mi nueva página aún no existe, ¿cómo puedo crear un vínculo hacia ella?. No hay problema para el software wiki. Hacer un enlace a una página que no existe wiki es casi lo mismo que hacer un enlace a una página wiki existente <sonríe>; sólo tienes que utilizar lo que aprendiste en la sección anterior. La realización de una página nueva puede ser un concepto difícil de entender al principio, pero una vez que veas cómo funciona, esto deberá de quedar perfectamente claro.

En la sección anterior, aprendiste sobre como realizar vínculos internos entre páginas wiki utilizando el botón Insertar/Editar Vínculo en barra de herramientas del editor visual. Nosotros usamos este mismo botón Insertar/Editar Vínculo para crear páginas nuevas .

  3. Escribe una descripción para tu nueva página por ejemplo, "Mi Lista de Libros".
  4. Destaca la descripción de tu página nueva que acabas de escribir.

  1. Go to your user page.
  2. Find the red-coloured description of your new page (e.g. "My Booklist").
  3. Click on the red link to begin the process.
  4. Type your content in the "box" (edit window) as indicated in the message, e.g., type "Content coming soon ..." or start making your list of books.
  5. Click the Save page button when you are satisfied with your creation.
  6. Go to your user page.
  7. The link to your new page should now appear blue.





Congratulations, you are now well on your way to creating useful content in the wiki.

New pages without a link

It is possible (but not advisable) to create a page before you make a link to it. Simply type the name of the desired page onto the end of the http://www.wikieducator.org/ in the address bar of your browser, like this http://www.wikieducator.org/Tea and hit enter. This will take you to a page called Tea and prompt you with the option to create the Tea page as shown below.

Summary

Creating a link to your new page is important. Not only will it be easy to find the next time you log in but it will be connected in some way to the other pages in WikiEducator which will foster collaboration. Spend some time thinking about good places from which to link to your new page before you begin. The search box on the left navigator or this projects page may be useful for finding phrases and material where you might want to add a link.
